September has just whizzed by! I can’t believe that it is over already!

I had my farewell drinks at the Rocksia, the pub that I was working at. It made me feel very emotional as these people had welcomed me so well. They were the first people that I really got to know in Australia and I honestly couldn’t have met better people. I feel very grateful that I met them.

The highlight of the month for me was going to Melbourne with Ty for 5 days, I wrote  blog post about my trip which you can read here, but it was the perfect get away!

The biggest change for me was that I changed jobs. Due to my visa, I can only work in one place for 6 months, so I had to change. I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t stressed  about it. Having just come back from Melbourne, straight into a new job with a lot less hours that I was previously working, money was tight.. like really tight. My main goal is saving for a visa, so that I can stay in this fabulous country and with time to save for it slowly running out, my mind couldn’t shake the fact that I might have to go back to England. Now don’t get me wrong, going back to England, is not a bad thing, but it’s not where I want to be right now. I am very happy here in Australia, and that’s not to say that I won’t come home, but i’m just not ready yet.

Other than Melbourne and changing my job, there hasn’t been much that has happened this month, it’s gone ridiculously fast and I feel like I haven’t had time to do anything? On the plus side, the weather is getting warmer here down under, and Spring has well and truly sprung.

What are your September Highlights? let me know in the comments!

  1. Another inspiring post. You are having such a fab time and really making the most of everything! Hang in there! Once your new employer sees your amazing work ethic and gets to know just how focused and fabulous you are, you’ll get more hours. I’m so awed by your independence and maturity, hope you get your visa and get to make your own decisions about your life and future direction. Because that’s what it’s about. Your mum and dad must miss you like crazy – but if I know them at all, that comes second to how super proud they are of you. All the best ❤️
